Rich Fudgy Brownies

Move over bland box brownies, this one-bowl recipe is so fast and delicious that you’ll never go back! This has been my go-to recipe for years and I use it for all my brownie-based desserts.

Rich Fudgy Brownies

  • 1 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup chocolate chips, optional

Preheat oven to 350.

Line a 9×9 inch baking pan with parchment. Stray lightly with cooking spray.

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt butter.

Then add cocoa powder and sugar and mix well.

Stir in flour (reserve 1 tbsp) and stir until no visible flour remains. Add eggs and mix well. Stir in vanilla.

If using chocolate chips, in a small bowl stir the chocolate chips and reserved 1 tbsp flour). Fold into brownie batter.

Pour into prepared pan and bake for 25 minutes.

Notes:

  1. This recipe can also be baked in a 9×13 pan for a thinner brownie. Bake for about 20 minutes.
  2. This recipe can be doubled and baked in a 12×18-inch rimmed cookie sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
