This is my favorite recipe for lasagna. You don’t need to precook the noodles! And if you use homemade ricotta and marinara it puts it over the top!!
Favorite Lasagna
- 2 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 4 cups prepared marinara (I use this recipe)
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 3 cups ricotta (I use this recipe)
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 2 tbsp parsley flakes
- 1/2 cup grated Kraft parmesan cheese
- 1 pound mozzarella cheese, grated
- 1 pound lasagna noodles, uncooked
In a large pan, brown ground beef. Add prepared sauce and diced tomatoes. Simmer for 10 minutes.
In a large bowl, combine ricotta, eggs, pepper, parsley flakes, and parmesan cheese.
In a 9×13 pan (or two smaller pans). Place 3 noodles (breaking as necessary) on the bottom of the pan. Spoon on some of the ricotta mixture. Next place a larger of grated mozzarella cheese followed by a layer of meat.
Repeat the layers ending with a layer of mozzarella on the top.
Place in the fridge overnight (this will help soften the noodles).
Bake at 375 for 30-35 minutes until the top is browned. Remove from over and wait for 10 minutes before serving.
