Shortbread Cookie Crumbs

Buttery and sweet. The perfect topping for ice cream, trifle or as a base for your favorite bar cookie.

Shortbread Cookie Crumbs

  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tbsp. water, if needed

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line baking sheet with parchment. Set aside.

Combine sugar and flour in a stand mixer or food processor. Add butter and vanilla and mix unil the mixture resembles crumbs. If the mixture is too dry add a little water.

Sprinkle crumbs over baking sheet.

Bake for 20 minutes, until lightly browned on top. Cool completely before using.
